Teaching Assistant at Orchard Academy

Role: 1:1 Teaching Assistant Yr4

Start date: ASAP Fixed Term Contract, could turn into permanent position

Salary: SCP2 £18,562 FTE, £14,108.62 Pro Rata

Working weeks – 39 weeks (term time and 5 training days)

Working hours: 33.75 hours = 8:30 to 3:45 with 30 minutes for unpaid lunch

Closing date: Wednesday 21st October 2020

We are seeking experienced SEND/EHCP Teaching Assistants who have experience working with children who have SEMH If you feel you can positively contribute to our pupils’ lives and want to be part of our school, we look forward to welcoming your application.

  • Experience of working with children who have SEND, particularly SEMH
  • Someone who understands, can empathise with and adapt to the needs of pupils with SEMH
  • Teaching Assistants who are able to enthuse and inspire children, and have patience and sensitivity
  • Teaching Assistants who show great mental flexibility in order to contribute to a dynamic and hardworking team
  • Teaching Assistants who are committed to safeguarding our children and promoting their welfare
  • Successful Teaching Assistants who are able to raise and sustain high standards
