Teaching Assistants at Hardingstone Academy

Role: SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistants

Start: 1st September 2020

Salary: Scale points 3-4 £18,065 - £18,426 this is the full time equivalent (pay will be pro rata)

Hours: 28.75 hours a week 8.30 a.m. – 3.15p.m. (1-hour lunch)

Weeks per year: 38 weeks per year (term time only)

Hardingstone Academy is seeking experienced SEND/EHCP Teaching Assistants who have experience working with children who have ASC, SEMH, RAD and S&L.  If you feel you can positively contribute to our pupils’ lives and want to be part of our school, we look forward to welcoming your application.

Hardingstone is a growing academy in a village location on the outskirts of Northampton offering excellent learning and enrichment opportunities for pupils aged 4 to 11.

It is an exciting time of expansion for the school providing several excellent career opportunities.  Our most recent Ofsted inspection graded the Academy as Good in September, 2016 and we are committed to rapidly improving Hardingstone still further.

We currently have 234 children on roll and have recently had new building work which will increase our capacity to two form entry.  The children engage fantastically in lessons and are proud of their school and their achievements.  Our staff team is committed to their welfare and growth and provide a friendly welcome for new colleagues.  We have vacancies for three Teaching Assistant’s starting a.s.a.p. to work with a children with SEN .  The successful candidates will be committed to our values and encourage our hard-working, polite children to achieve and behave at the very highest levels.

  • Experience of working with children who have SEND, particularly ASC, SEMH, RAD and S&L
  • Someone who understands, can empathise with and adapt to the needs of pupils with ASC, SEMH, RAD and S&L
  • Teaching Assistants who are able to enthuse and inspire children
  • Teaching Assistants who show great mental flexibility in order to contribute to a dynamic and hardworking team
  • Teaching Assistants who are committed to safeguarding our children and promoting their welfare
  • Successful Teaching Assistants who are able to raise and sustain high standards
